Carly Hakim Babi was born and raised in Metro Detroit, while living in Mexico City during the summer months. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Spanish from Wayne State University in 2013. She then earned her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Detroit Mercy in 2018, where her excellent performance in both law and business school received recognition.

Carly has volunteered for various non-profit organizations based in Mexico City, aimed at protecting human, civil, political, and socio-economic rights of the under- privileged.

Carly is known for her passionate yet diplomatic manner. She believes in justice and is compassionate about protecting the rights of others—especially the wrongfully accused. Carly's approach is client focused. She aims to provide the individualized attention clients need when facing the most troubled of times. She devotes her time in coming up with innovative solutions when defending and fighting for her clients.

Over the years, Carly has gained experience in many areas of law including foreclosures and debt relief; family law; criminal defense; immigration; and personal injury. Today, Carly's areas of practice include criminal defense (both State and Federal) and representing small businesses.
