19th District Court

Dearborn's 19th District Court manages a caseload of more than 75,000 cases annually, overseen by three judges, elected independently on non-partisan ballots for terms of six years.

The Judges of the 19th District Court have exclusive jurisdiction over various types of cases. They preside over civil cases involving disputes with an amount in dispute less than $25,000. Additionally, they handle all parking and moving traffic violations that occur within the City of Dearborn.

In terms of misdemeanors, the court has jurisdiction over cases where the penalty does not exceed a fine of $1,000 and/or one year in jail.
