42-1 District Court

The 42-1 District Court, also known as the Romeo Court, is located in Romeo, Michigan and serves the cities of Romeo, Richmond, Memphis, Armada Village, and Washington, Armada, Ray, and Bruce Townships. It has jurisdiction over misdemeanor cases, civil infractions, minor civil matters, and the initial stages of felony matters.

This court has the authority to determine if there is enough evidence to move forward with a felony case. This includes the arraignment, probable cause conference, and preliminary examination. If a person is found guilty of a misdemeanor, they could face up to one year in jail and fines of up to $1,000.00.
